In 2025, we will be celebrating a milestone anniversary: 130 years of passion, terroir and tradition. Since 1895, we have embodied the strength of the collective and the expertise of our winegrowers who, generation after generation, have shaped the identity of the Cave de Ribeauvillé. To mark this occasion, we wanted to create a limited edition based on our iconic cuvée: Clos du Zahnacker, a true wine-growing treasure and the exclusive property of our winery.
A vineyard steeped in history
Nestled in the heart of the Osterberg Grand Cru, Clos du Zahnacker has been perpetuating the tradition of mixed planting since the 8th century. Three noble grape varieties – Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer – are grown, harvested and vinified together. This unique combination gives rise to a wine of character, complex and ideal for ageing. This wine has made history: in 1673, during his visit to Ribeauvillé, Louis XIV had the honour of tasting Clos du Zahnacker, served in a sumptuous Hanap (gold goblet), now carefully preserved in the town hall.
An exceptional box set for our 130th anniversary
To pay tribute to this heritage, in 2025 we are unveiling a unique collector’s box set, produced in a limited edition of just 1,500 numbered bottles.
Every detail has been carefully considered:
A bottle of Clos du Zahnacker 2019, the best vintage of the millennium.
A label adorned with genuine Swarovski® crystals, a company that is also celebrating its 130th anniversary this year.
A refined box containing a custom-made mirror, designed to collect the detachable crystals from the label and give them a second life.
Craftsmanship at the heart of the project
Beyond its refinement, this box set stands out for the craftsmanship that went into its creation. Each label has been applied by hand, the Swarovski® crystals glued one by one, and each box meticulously assembled by our teams. This choice illustrates our desire to promote the authenticity of craftsmanship, in line with our philosophy: combining high standards, respect for time and a passion for detail.
