Terroir
This locality is magnificently exploited by 3 talented
winegrowers, Yves Baltenweck (President of the Cave), Fabrice Guyot and
Stéphane Uttard. With a yield of 50hl/ha, only 5700 bts are available.
in 2019 on its 1.07 ha.
The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand.
Whole bunches are pressed in pneumatic presses to avoid crushing. The juices are separated to optimise the quality of our wines. After static settling, the wines are fermented under temperature control and then matured on fine lees for 7 months.
This Riesling Lieu-Dit Mühlforst has a nose typical of its grape variety, with a fine minerality (gunflint) and citrus notes. Full-bodied and long on the palate, with lemony aromas and notes of beeswax.
What to marry it with?
Enjoy this Riesling with fish tartare, grilled turbot fillet or, more traditionally, with three-fish sauerkraut.
